Share your feedback with us
We have one more Community Connections meeting coming up next week! These meetings provide an opportunity for families to hear updates about Tulsa Public Schools from Superintendent Ebony Johnson and members of our Board of Education as well as provide feedback about what YOU feel is most important for your students. The last meeting in this series is virtual, allowing you to participate from wherever is convenient for you. If you’re unable to attend, please be sure to submit your feedback through our online form at www.tulsaschools.org/feedback. We hope to see you soon!
Free meals and community resources
With SNAP food benefits suspended, we want to remind you that Tulsa Public Schools provides a free breakfast and free lunch to all students every day. These free meals are available to any student who chooses to participate, and families do not have to qualify or sign up to receive them. You can find daily menus on our website at www.tulsaschools.org/meals. For additional resources during this time, please reach out to 211 or Hunger Free Oklahoma.

Stay healthy during cold and flu season
It is that time of year when various illnesses tend to circulate. To help reduce the spread of viruses, we are asking for your support. Please keep the following tips in mind as we move through the fall and winter. You can find more information about safety protocols and when to keep your child home from school at www.tulsaschools.org/health.
- Practice proper hand hygiene. Teach and review with your child how and when to wash their hands. Hands should be washed often with soap and water or cleaned with an alcohol-based hand rub. Set a good example by practicing this yourself.
-
Avoid sharing personal items. Remind your child not to share drinks, food, or unwashed utensils. Encourage them to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or, when unavailable, with their elbow or sleeve—not their hands.
- Promote healthy habits. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water and get at least 8–10 hours of sleep each night.
-
Keep sick children at home for at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever (without the use of fever-reducing medication) or other symptoms of illness. Keeping children with a fever at home helps prevent the spread of infection.
Navigate360 visitor check-in system now in use
On Monday, Oct. 6, we launched the Navigate360 visitor management system in all our schools and buildings. When arriving at any TPS campus, families and community members will be required to check in at a computer kiosk and scan a government-issued ID. Each visitor will be given a printed nametag with their photo on it to wear while in the building; visitors should check-out with the main office or security desk upon leaving. These new procedures will help us continue to provide safe and secure buildings for our students and team members. When visitors scan their ID into Navigate360, the system will run a check of the National Sex Offender Registry and our district’s restricted list. This helps us quickly and accurately identify who should and should not be permitted into our school buildings while keeping precise logs of visitors who are in our buildings.
Tulsa Public Schools takes data privacy very seriously, and we want to assure you that your ID badge and information will not be shared outside of Tulsa Public Schools. It is not recorded or kept beyond what is necessary to log visitors' entry and exit from our buildings. You can read more frequently asked questions here.
