Students who are multilingual learners who have attained English proficiency and are continuing to be monitored for success are included in this group. Kindergarten through fifth grade students who were enrolled in TPS at the end of the previous school year and had a prior test score are included in the denominator; this captures students who received instruction within TPS during the year in which their results are reported. |
Multilingual learner students take the ACCESS 2.0 test administered by the state during the third quarter each school year. The ACCESS 2.0 assesses English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The overall score used to determine growth targets is comprised of 15% listening, 15% speaking, 35% reading, and 35% writing scores. Proficiency goals are set by the state. Target growth goals are based on the difference between the student’s initial proficiency score and their target proficiency level divided by the number of years they have to meet proficiency status. Students test out of multilingual learner status when they have met the target set by the state for their grade level. |

MAP is taken three times per year. A study by NWEA, the providers of MAP, is used to project students' scores from MAP to OSTP - the Oklahoma State Testing Program. Students are considered “Basic or above” based on how their MAP RIT scores align to performance levels on OSTP, using NWEA’s linking study. The OSTP assessment has four performance levels that students can fall into – Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, and Advanced. This report includes Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate test scores, concurrent enrollment courses grades, the Seal of Biliteracy, and industry recognized credentials. Advanced Placement scores of 3, 4, or 5 have the potential to earn college credit depending on institution and Advanced Placement course so we have included Advanced Placement test scores above 3 as having the potential to earn college credit. International Baccalaureate scores of 4's for Higher Level (HL) exams and 5's for Standard Level (SL) exams have the potential to earn college credit |

Seniors who were enrolled at the end of the school year are included in this measure. Seniors who do not complete the FAFSA, including students who are undocumented, are included through their completion of other approved financial aid applications. Students who complete the FAFSA as well as other approved financial aid applications are only included once. |
Students are eligible to begin filling out the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) on October 1 of their senior year. Other approved financial aid applications include institutional aid provided by colleges and career schools and private scholarships offered by businesses, foundations, etc. We used student survey information to track these applications and that data is included in the 21-22 school year. This report includes FAFSAs filled out from October of a student's senior year through the following August. |
