Legends Foundation
The Legends Foundation is a 501 c 3 nonprofit foundation approved by the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education in June of 2019. Our mission is to support and enhance TPS athletic programs and its teams through public relations, fundraising and special events.
At times, funding for our athletic programs may fall short of the actual cost of supporting competitive teams. The Legends Foundation works to raise money to cover this gap in funding to support all of the 19 secondary schools in the TPS system. We believe that athletics is an integral part of the education system that builds character and skills far beyond the classroom. The 2021 Bond that was approved allows us to continue to provide a quality experience for our student athletes for years to come…but there are so many more needs for our athletes that include coaching positions and incentives, tutoring programs, equipment and uniforms, and athletic programs that have been eliminated over the years.
The Legends Foundation has no administrative fees. 100% of the donations to our organization go directly to the foundation. Our fundraising events include our Hall of Fame induction banquet held at the Doubletree at Warren Place and our annual golf tournament currently held at LaFortune Park. Tulsa Public Schools is aware of the important role interscholastic athletics play in the development of students. With your help, the Legends Foundation can provide an additional means of support to our athletes.
